In this workshop, Claire will guide you through an inversion based practice including conditioning and flexibility drills specific to handstands. Exercises included are specific to handstand training and will build strength, mobility and awareness to help you balance upside down.
You will learn step by step how to build a solid handstand from the hands up with the central focus on hands, shoulders, core and hamstrings. Claire will break down why conditioning these areas are key to inverting and she will also share useful tips she has learnt from her gymnastics background to help you hold your handstand.
This workshop is not suitable for those new to yoga however if you are new to handstands and are excited by the thought of going upside down, this is for you! This workshop will be fun and you will be fully supported as you explore your inversions. We will use the wall to build your strength and confidence and for those already comfortable practicing without a wall, various options will be given including tips on how to perfect your straight line.
